There is a course in central Wisconsin that does golf differently than anywhere else we have ever played. Once you go, you will understand why we have gone every year for the past couple of years.

SentryWorld in Stevens Point, Wisconsin opens for the 2026 season on May 29th and this is one we cannot stop talking about. The SentryWorld experience is genuinely one of a kind.

THE COURSE
Golf Digest Top 100 Public Course

The Flower Hole (CYNTP Media)

The course itself is immaculate in a way that is hard to explain until you are standing on it. SentryWorld uses the same SubAir systems beneath every green that Augusta National uses. That is the level of conditioning we are talking about. Drip irrigation runs around every bunker on the property and while we were playing we actually watched staff out on the fairways filling divots in real time just to make sure there was not a single blemish on the course. You do not see that anywhere else.

Tee times are spaced 20 minutes apart so you never feel rushed. You are out there taking it all in, not trying to keep up with the group ahead of you. That alone changes the entire experience.

Hole 16 is the Flower Hole and it has over 50,000 flowers planted on it every single year. Robert Trent Jones Jr. called it his Mona Lisa and when you are standing on that tee you understand exactly why. It does not look like anything else in golf. People come to SentryWorld specifically for this hole and it lives up to every photo you have ever seen of it.

THE NUMBERS
$375 All In. That Covers Everything

One round is $375 and that covers unlimited food and drinks at two refreshment stations right on the course during your round. Custom cocktails, cold beer, hot food, locally made ice cream. All of it included.

The course runs May 29 through September 30 and day guest tee times open up 90 days in advance. Here is the thing though. Once that 90 day window closes you cannot book as a day guest. If you want to lock in a date further out than that you need to be staying at The Inn. Which honestly is a great reason to just book the Stay and Play and not think about it.

WHERE TO STAY
On the 18th Fairway

The Inn at SentryWorld is a 64 room boutique hotel sitting right along the 18th fairway. We stayed there overlooking the green and everything about it is elevated. Clean, beautiful, and the kind of place where you wake up and already feel like the day is going to be good.

Book the Stay and Play package and you get preferred tee times, a complimentary cocktail at check in, and access to everything on the property. It is the right way to do this trip.

THE INSIDER
PJ’s for Lunch & Muse for Dinner

SentryWorld (CYNTP Media)

Before your round and after, go to PJ's on the property. The tots, the cheese curds, the wood-fired pizza. Some of the best food we have had on any golf trip anywhere. You are in Wisconsin and the cheese curds are not optional.

At night book a table at Muse, their upscale restaurant just off the property with a free shuttle from The Inn. We all got the filet and started with scallops. It was the kind of meal that ends a perfect golf day the right way.

NEXT WEEK
Your Thursday Edition of The Turn

We are heading to Canada (in The Turn, not physically unfortunately). Banff Springs is one of the most spectacular golf courses on the planet and next week we are breaking down everything you need to know before you go.

See you next Thursday.
